Party Decorations That Make Clean-Up a Cinch

One of the hardest parts about hosting a party is the clean-up.  This is even harder when you are hosting an event for young children.  Luckily, we have an easy solution that will help you decorate and clean up in just one step: disposable placemats.  These mats match our invitation designs, and they can add a little flair to your next party while saving your tables from finger paints, drink spills and dripping ice cream cones.  Not only are these inexpensive placemats handy for parties, they make a great gift for the busy moms in your life. Plus, we can laminate and personalize them for re-use.  Click here for a full list of designs, or check out a few of our favorites below:

Training Kids to Write

Have you ever asked a kid to write a thank you note only to hear moans and groans?  While kids seem to have no trouble texting messages to friends, updating Facebook or chatting online, it can be difficult to encourage them to sit down and hand write a thank you note for generous aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends.

A great way to develop your child’s interest in writing is by starting them off with cute, fun, personalized stationary at an early age.  For children 5 and under, parents should keep a stack of “Mad Lib” style stationary on hand that makes it simple for them to say thanks after birthdays, recitals and other events.  By making it simple for your child to write letters, you can show them the importance of handwritten notes at an early age and help them develop good habits before they move up to longer notes and more grown-up stationery.

We have tons of great stationery options for young children, and we can even design something from scratch if you or your child has a particular theme in mind.  By choosing a fun design that your child likes, your child can develop good manners while expressing his or her personality.  Here are a few options that we really like:

New Father's Day Gift Trend: Printable Gifts!

Every year, dads across the country collect "world's best dad" trinkets, ties, grilling equipment, gadgets, singing animals, ugly sweaters and many things they may never use.  Instead of wasting money on another cliche father's day gift, the creative minds at Living Locurto shared a new idea for Father's Day gifts this year: printable gifts!

Of course, we love this idea, and we really think you will too.  The options are endless:  You can make your own candy wrappers, bottle covers, retro labels for "pop" bottles and more.  Check out all of the great ideas here.

If you aren't feeling do-it-yourself crafty, however, a simple way to spice up thoughtful gifts is by ordering custom-made stickers to use as a finishing touch.  You can use them as bookplates for dad's favorite reading material, a unique label on a box of his favorite homemade treats, a personalized journal cover, a wine bottle disguise, or even a customized label for his prized secret sauce. What designs do you think your dad would like, and how can you use them to create the perfect gift for Father's Day?

Use Personalized Invitations to Set the Mood for Your Party

Planning a night on the town? This stretch limo will set the mood right!
In a world of Facebook invites, Evites and emails, many people don’t think that paper invitations are important when planning an event.  The right invitation, however, can be the best way to set the mood for your event before the guests even arrive!

A paper invitation shows your guests that you took the time to come up with a great idea for a party, that you hand-selected the perfect guest list rather than clicking names at random, and that you were thoughtful enough to include the person holding an adorable, personalized invitation in his or her hand.  In other words, this isn’t just some haphazard barbecue you threw together last minute...By sending a well-designed invitation, you are telling your guests that this event will be one to remember.

In addition, depending on which type of design you choose for your invitation, you can give guests information about the event’s theme, how casual or formal guests should dress, what activities they might expect, and the setting in which the event will be held.  Check out these invitation themes so you can set the mood for your next party!
